One would be to install a piece of software remotely, then you can reenable it. I would agree that there are third party firewalls that have more features, but I wouldn't say Windows firewalls have no value.Īlso, molan, I can think of a number of reasons why you might want to disable Windows Firewall remotely. For Windows XP, it's only a one way firewall, but for Windows 7 it's much more robust. simply stating the windows firewall isn't worth anything is just not true.
